APPROVAL TO AWARD BID #7034 FOR OFFICE AND CLASSROOM SUPPLIES - WAREHOUSE
Description
Bids to provide 'Office and Classroom Supplies - Warehouse' were received from 17 vendors on October 11, 2006. The bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Apex Office Products, Inc., ETA Cuisenaire, Grainger, MSC Industrial Supply, National Art & School Supplies, OfficeMax, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Smith Office & Computer Supply, and Standard Stationery Supply were the best low bids meeting the advertised specifications. Reasons for not selecting the apparent low bid are included with the bid tabulation. This bid is for a period of one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods. The items will be requisitioned by all schools and departments through the Purchasing Warehouse. Funds for these purchases are contained in the operating budgets of the individual cost centers.
Recommendation
That the bids of AFP Industries, Inc., Apex Office Products, Inc., ETA Cuisenaire, Grainger, MSC Industrial Supply, National Art & School Supplies, OfficeMax, Inc., Pyramid School Products, Smith Office & Computer Supply, and Standard Stationery Supply, at the unit prices in the enclosure, in an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, be approved for award and purchase.
